Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Monterey Road

San Jose, CA (3/4/2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle in south San Jose. The collision happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Monterey Road and Valleyhaven Way.

Officer Gina Tepoorten states that a man was riding his 2006 Suzuki north on Monterey Road when he got hit by a 2015 Jeep attempting to turn onto Valleyhaven Way. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident, while the driver of the Jeep and her passenger were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. This is the city of San Jose’s fourth traffic fatality this week.
